i hae a bachman spectrum and the lever that drives the whell got pushed back, from anyones expierence are they good with repairs and shipping?
Bachmann usually replaces items sent to them instead of trying to perform repairs. If you still have the documentation that came with the locomotive, or the original sales receipt, they will replace/repair for free for the first year, then you have to pay a fee of around $30 for replacement of models over one year old. The best thing would be to send them an e-mail and ask if your model is still available. I friend of mine sent a model back for repair and they replaced it with a newer, upgraded model.
Generally Bachmann requires the product registration card be returned .
Warranty service usually requires a $10.00 fee for returning diesels and $15.00 for
steam locos. These fees cover their postage & handling.
