Bachmann 00501 Santa Fe Digital Commander train set
Looks pretty easy to operate.
it would be a easy train set to set up for my house.
I love DCC. I use a Southern Highhood with DCC. It runs smooth. I allso like the sound it makes. It sounds like a real locomotive.
I bought one for my grandson just so he and I could have some quality time. Must still be some Tom Sawyer in me!
A great way to start with DCC.
Very nice models and a very nice starter set!!!
good entry leval set
DCC is the only way to do it today. Some of us also have older Direct Current locos that an individual could still run on address 00. This makes good flexibility for all.
I enjoy the MR videos. Most informative. I would like to see you expanded these to more instructional videos of a greater variety of products.
This set is a very nice set for starting ou tonly down fall is no sound from the locos
Great starter set. Easy to set up & operate
Digital control is a vast improvement of other types of control for train sets. A set such as this would have to be considered when contemplating acquiring a new train set. Great for beginners that want to step a level.
love this set!!!
Nice offering. Keep it up, please.
I bought Two! I bought a Athearn HO Big Boy,And a N scale Challenger,I wanted the power controllers to run my new engines with their full sound capability.WOW! Plus the extra Track and cars were a bonus.A great set at a fair price.
Love the video, very informative. KEEP IT UP!!!
Looks like a great starter set even for people who haven’t used DCC before. I’m still trying to figure out the magic that changed the turnout so the second train didn’t crash into the engine. It might be nice to include the manafactures suggested retail price so new comers know what their looking at. The demos a very nice. Thanks
Looks great ! I was wondering if you can run both trains at the same time? As Dana has stopped one before starting the other…?
Great set to get into DCC. Even though Dana doesn’t directly mention it, you should be able to run both trains at the same time. With each engine set to a different address you can couple the engines together and control them individually. Or you can set up (with enough track) two trains and run them at the same time.
