Bachmann 25-ton Climax reissue
Another great article from Mr Strong, full of detail and points to note. This is not just a rehash of the original model, fine though it was, but a thorough re-design, too, of all that makes the Climax loco so different as a model, not just as a prototype. The downside is the massive MSRP - a definite minus outside the USA - that makes it almost double the price in other markets like the one in which I live - UK. I’ll make do with my still fully-working and much-loved original version, making sure to check out the known weak points from time to time to keep it going.
