Has anyone purchased this loco? How do you like the sound?

The sound is awsome, a bit loud out of the box. Highly suggest taking to someone that has DCC if you dont have that type of control system and making some adjustments to the sound volume. The driveline needs a good lubrication right out of the box to. Heavier oil on the bevel gearing in the trucks, and a lightweight oil on every bearing surface thru the driveline. This helped mine run much smoother. After the adjustments, I ran mine a good half hour in each direction with no train to break in the drive. Mike
Thanks for the quick response. We were thinking that the climax would be a good addition to the logging operations on our layout.

I got one for Christmas. Its Tsunami! The sound is great. When handling be cautious of the front truck. If you are a little rough the drive shaft will slip apart. The details are nice. It will pull 6 loaded Keystone logging buggies and a caboose on level track. Its not as strong as the 3 truck shay. It pulls less on a grade.
