Bachmann 3 truck Shay tight trucks

I am having difficulty getting the trucks on this loco to rotate without binding. I don’t want to go too far with any attempt at boring out the truck pivot holes. I did ream them slightly with a #30 drill bit.They seem OK now except when the screw is tightened, even slightly. I have also filed a bit off of the pivot boss but it doesn’t appear to do the trick.

Any ideas?

You’re not alone Bruce. I have/had the same issue on the front truck. It has loosened up some with oil but I have yet to take a drill or file to it. Please post if and when you come up with a solution.

You might try filing some off the truck bolster, if possible. I don’t have one, so that’s just a guess…
