Bachmann Coupler Change

Has anyone ever changed couplers from Rapido-type to Micro trains/Accumate type on an N scale Bachmann Consolidation? If so, post tips, how to change it, and pictures if possible.

P.S. I’m pretty sure you have to mount a new coupler pocket and cut the tender a bit to correct the hieght issues.

IMHO it is easier to cut off the truck-mounted coupler and body mount on the tender. For the Pilot, you will probably have to look at z scale couplers.
