Bachmann E-Z Command Decoder

Does anyone know if it possible to change the speed tables on a Bachmann E-Z Command decoder? I’m trying to match speeds with another locomotive equipped with a Tsunami Soundtraxx decoder and would prefer to change the speed table on the Bachmann unit.

According to Bachmann, you should be able to change CV29. Maybe this will help…

Not that I’m aware of.

We really need to know what model Bachmann decoder you have. The documentation in that web link indicates that model decoder only selects 14/27 or 28/128 speed step operation. Also one can set the starting voltage, but not the mid or max voltage. I suspect there is a ‘built-in’ speed table, but it appear not to be accessible by the user. This is pretty much the ‘norm’ for older low end decoders. I am aware that at one point Bachmann was using a low end Lenz decoder in their engines, but I am not sure what non-sound decoder they are using currently.
