I love the 45 Tonners, and the 44 Tonners with DCC are VERY reasonably priced.
It looks like the same old body though.will it be as nice as the spectrum 44 tonners?

Yuk! I can see the same old Talgo style coupler mounts and huge holes in the pilot front and rear. That it a bit too toy like for me.
For On30 modelers, Bachmann also released a narrow gauge 4-6-0.
It still looks like a cheap toy…

I hope so. Those truck mounted couplers looked mighty umm, ummm, well just wrong.
I have a feeiling it will be a reissue of the Spectrum DD40, with the only improvements being black plastic gears and LED lighting. Maybe they will do something about the pilots, but I don’t think we’ll know for sure until they’re released.

Bachmann? Why would anyone waste their money on a toy? After having bought a few Bachmann locos, including a 44 tonner, I have been very frustrated and unhappy with thier sputtering and other annoyances. I just bought my first Kato engine and can’t believe how much better of a product this is. I rate Bachmann up there with Tyco and other toy manufacturers!
I didn’t know Athearn made one of those?? Did B&O even have any of those locos?

Were your Bachmann locomotives their regular ones, or Sprectrum? I have a couple of their Spectrum, and they’re great runners. Just my [2c]
