Bachmann GS4
Believe it or not, several years ago a friend of mine picked up two spectrum GS-4’s at a K-Mart for around $15 a piece on clearance. I quickly bought one of these great models from him. I still have it to this day. Very smooth runner and handles 22 radius curves pretty well. I began collecting Athearn SP Daylight passenger cars next. The paint doesn’t quite match though. But still looks pretty good behind the GS-4.
This model does not have sound, although you could install it with the 8 pin plug. Also Spectrum has not made a GS-4 yet, you are probaly refering to the Standard GS-4 which is really an updated Lionel HO model.
Very impressive! Extremely smooth. Just have to get cars.
I picked up a DCC Bachmann GS 4-8-4 Daylight at a train show and now am trying to figure out how to get into the tender to do a sound upgrade.
what video is the one on youtube that you talked about and a great model indeed!
So, it can’t handle 18" radius curves? That’s a bit unfortunate, as Bachmann’s old GS-4 was able to according to reviews.
