Bachmann Li’l Big Haulers starter set

Regarding the review of the Bachmann Lil Big Hauler starter set, one very serious omission was made. First off, I am a very big fan of these little beasties, but as delivered, the hook/loop couplers come mounted too high to couple with any other brands like Playmobil, LGB or HLW. These are being produced with couplers at the same high mounting seen on their Thomas line, however while the TTE line provides small plastic adapters that allows the couplers to be remounted to the lower standard LGB coupler height, Bachmann has not provided the same adapters with this line. This makes the Lil Big Haulers incompatible and restricts their usage with any other manufacturer except Thomas. At a recent show I did point out this oversight to the Bachmann representatives, and they did seam genuinely surprised by it. By the end of the show had swapped an adapter from the TTE line onto one of the new lines cars and stated that they might indeed include the adapters in future shipments, but for the those who have already purchased for are thinking of purchasing this new lineup, Bachmann will provide the adapters from the TTE line if you email or call them. These are a really great introduction to large scale, but they will be even better when they can be mixed and matched with other brands like Playmobil or HLWs minicars. Thanks Vic
