Bachmann Loco with DCC

I recently put together a temporary layout so my grandkids could enjoy watching a few trains on Christmas.

It’s been about a year since I ran my trains. I have several Bachmann loco’s that came with DCC installed.

Last night I pulled three out to run. Two of the three I had no problems with. One just sits there with the reverse light on.

I have an NCE DCC system. I put the loco on the programing track to check the addresses. They were correct. I changed it to only operate on DCC turning off DC thinking that may be the problem. Momentum is set to “0”. It still just sits there with the reverse light on. It won’t respond to any commands.

I believe Bachmann uses Lenz decoders in their units. Does anyone know how to reset the decoder?

Thanks,

Bill

bill,

go to bachman’s website or to the web site of your decoders mfg. they each have tons of trouble shooting and other pertinent info available.

Thanks Fisker, Both Lenz and Bachmann say to change CV 8 to a value of 8 to reset the decoder.

I appreciate your help
