Bachmann N scale Mckinley set

Hi there.

I just bought this set at the Atlanta Train show to hold me over until my garden railway is up. It does not work. The led on the controller lights up but the train does nothing. I don’t have multimeter to check the rails but I have unpluged and reassembled the track and controller pack several times.

I called Bachmann and they were confused about the set…not knowing specifics about it…etc. They thought it was the loco but suggested that I send everything back to them. I would hate to pay the shipping if I didn’t have to. Any know issues whith there trains? I am I overlooking something?[xx(]

I think you just didn’t plug the rail feeder plug deep enough. They are tough little things especially when they are new. Or the other thing is you may have a imperly sitted rail joint somewhere. I doubt it’s the loco because loco’s doesn’t get any simpler than the one that comes with the set and the controller seems fine with the lighted LED.
