Can anyone tell me if Bachmann Spectrum steamers come lubricated from the factory?
No, they do not. Instructions that are packed with them indicate that they should be lubricated before operating them for any length of time (except for the internal parts that cannot be reached and would require disassembly).
It would be advisable to lubricate every point of movement on the siderods and all wheel bearings, including the tender.
