what types of bachmann track can be used together

There are two types. Steel or nickel silver. They can be used together but nickel silver is the best.

There is also a set of Bachmann forums with forums for different scales.

Yup, if your talking HO scale, the black base is steel track, and the gray base is nickel silver.
