I wish they’d make a with-tender version of this, with sound.
What turnouts will it run through without stalling? Bachmann 4-4-0, while wonderful in all other respects, won’t run through a stock Atlas #8. As short as this wheelbase is, I bet a #6 would be a challenge.
Always enjoyable, interesting and informative, these guys are the bees knees of model railroading.
Luv em all! Ron
I don’t understand how did you program CV 2 to 60. According the Bachmann 1 Amp 2 function decoder specification sheet, the range of CV2 for this decoder is 1 to 31.
I have 5 Bachmann Spectrum 4-4-0’s that run through Atlas no. 6, no prob. You do have to clean the loco/tender contacts now and then. This engine probably has the same pickup wipers on the drivers. They pick up lint after awhile and oxidize, all to be expected.
Hello Horacio,
Regarding your question: I actually programmed CV2 to a value of 16 (not 60). Unfortunately a typo got missed during the editing of my review. Sorry for the confusion.
