To all that remembers my drama with dropping my two conrail locomotives on the floor and trashing them. I think it was about five weeks ago. But nonetheless. As promised here is my update
Got two brand new locomotives in the mail today. Just as some of you have advertiesed.
My experince. Bachmann called me once to give me an update per my request in the service form, they let me know they were running about four weeks behind. and then I called them , and they were happy to talk to me, and then moved me to the top of the list. This was last friday, I got the new ones today in the mail. There were no mistakes, and sent me new warrenty cards, and suggested that I fill these new cards out so when I drop them again it will not cost me 20 dollars.
Par for the course. Bachman has always given me excellent service. As a custom builder I’ve had to get parts from time to time and all they have ever asked is “where do we send it?”, oh, and btw, no charge.
I think you will be very pleased when you get one. The level of detail is actually equal to that of some brass units (especially their On30 stuff) and the quality of the running gear is great. They pull well and are very smooth runners. Never thought Bachmann had it in um.
By chance which Bachmann/Spectrum model are you reffering to ? I just want to know because I just purchased five Bachmann /Spectrum models in the past month. The only reason I purchased these models was because of your posting also the way I hear of Bachmann/Spectrums excellent service. Remember I tried Bachmann several years ago and was not pleased, It truly can be said that time changes everything.
