Can anyone tell me how to get the boiler off one of these?

Its the one with smoke and lights #50701.

I have this same locomotive - I think and I’m superdetailing it right now. If your model is the same as mine, then the removal of the plastic body casing/boiler can be lifted off by removing the centre screw - one of three underbody screws - its the screw with the largest head anyway and this should release the boiler from the frame.

I have removed the plastic plate that holds the axles in place including the centre screw. The boiler is free at the cab end but still fixed at the smokebox.
