amazing most detal to come out in years what would expect from bachmanns?

Bachmann has come a long way with the performance and detail on its steam locomotives in the past 5 years. Keep up the good work!!!

I have the DM&IR 2-10-2. It takes the 22" radius well but derails almost instantly on 18".

The loco make a grinding sound on my 18 in siding curves. Pulls about 13 20 year old plastic wheel Life Like & Tyco cars.

Does anyone know where to get the connecters that connect the the decoder to the loco? But overall a great train

Just got mine (DM&IR) today and it is a beautiful locomotive. I don’t know what is considered ‘freight speed’ but it seems a lot slower than my other steam engines. May need to break it in some more. Otherwise it is one of the best Bachmann engines I have seen. I have three other Spectrum steamers and they are all great.

I got a new 2-10-0 with sound and it did not run well at all. It stops and starts for no apparent reason on clean, straight track. On inspection, one of the wires from the tender truck to the decoder was broken and I had to re-solder it. In addition, the right side loco wheels did not pick up current at all. Had to send it back to Bachmann immediately. I was surprised because I already had one of the same locos and it runs great.

I purchased an unletttered version. It ran poorly for about 40 minutes until one of the middle rod crankpins backed out and jammed. Bent the crosshead guides and may have damaged the drive train. I am awaiting a replacement from the distributor.
