I was just wondering if anyone has purchased and ran the new DCC equipped Bachman Spectrum 4-4-0. I have not found a review on these loco’s. They are expensive and I would like to hear someone elses experiences with them prior to ordering one for myself. Where I live there is no local hobby shop for me to see one at. I just have to make the leap and order.
If its anything at all like the On30 products that Bachmann has been producing it should be a real winner…The Bach Man has come a very long ways in a very short time and it all seemed to really take off back when they produced that N scale 2-8-0 Connie…It was a real treat and theyve only improved since IMHO…They have also shown they are committed to customer service so I would order with out fear of being left out in the cold.
Theyve really stepped up to the plate and I commend them for it!!!
They’re not expensive with Micro Mark’s sale. They’re selling em’ for $130, DCC equiped.

If there is a problem it would most likely be that seeing as the size/stiffness of the wire bundle between engine & tender it tend’s to lift the front truck of the tender causing derailments ’ bit of weight in tender front should fix it. You might also watch to make sure the wires don’t hang down thereby catching on track etc.
