Hi all, I made this today:
Hey ! Hey ! Not fair, no artists allowed on a model train layout. those are the best clouds I have seen, and it took me 5 years to learn how to paint clouds on the Canadian praries, great job and a great video, superb work.
Beautiful clouds. Rest of it 't ain’t bad either.
Thanks for sharing,
Richard
Excellent video. What was the background music that you used?
Bob
Thanks for the comments guys!
The music I used is Mozarts “Requiem”, I listen to a LOT of classical music, and it is one of my favourites.
Thanks for the video, Graffen. You have both a good hand and a great taste in music.
Crandell
Thanks for that Graffen, I really enjoyed it.
When is the " Making your rugged foam rocks continue on to the backdrop" chapter coming out? [(-D]
Brent
Graffen,
This is a little off topic, but since you like to combine good classical music with trains you might want to check out the following video, “ALL ABOARD: The Legends of the Rails The Complete Story of Passenger Trains In America” which is available through Amazon for $14.95 or possibly through your library. It’s a great video which includes a history of passenger trains in the U.S., including Amtrak, accompanied by classical music by Mozart, Beethoven, et al. It’s an excellent video and worth watching just for the music. When the music is combined with the trains, it’s outstanding.
Again thanks for sharing your video with us.
Bob
I haven’t used an airbrush on clouds before. That looks great.
I’m working on my backdrop right now. Very timely, thank you!
I am gratified to see that I seem to be proceeding in the right direction, although I doubt my artistic skill compares to yours!
Thanks all for the comments. [:D]
It is more a question of “seeing” the world as it looks… [8D]
It would be difficult to do a good looking backdrop without good documentation. I use photos, both from books and those that I´ve taken myself, both to inspire me and to work from.
It is also a good thing to cheat as much as possible… If you can use a stencil, do it! [:D]
I’m a classical music fan too. Your work is outstanding… thank you for the video
