Here are Baldwins For Sale.
Forget the Baldwins – check THIS out. I need this. Wonder if the wife will like it instead of a new couch?

I’ll bet that the only bidders will be scrap dealers. Long ago (about 1968) in TRAINS, Jerry Pinkepank observed that it isn’t easy to make an elephant purr. Alco GE is right, Baldwins were notorious oil leakers and were high maintenance overall.
I remember that back in the 70s, there were a pair of Baldwin Sharks in existence.
Were these girls saved, or were they scrapped?
Last I heard, the owner of the Escanaba & Lake Superior still has two of them, parked in an enginehouse somewhere in Michigan.

That is good news! Would have been a tragedy if the last sharks left in existence were scrapped. There are some very nice photos of them on www.railpictures.net
In the Keyword box, just type in Baldwin Sharks.

Hopefully, the Motorized Rail Car has comfortable seats. Being married, if you buy it you will probably be sleeping there or in the dog house, espically since you passed up on a sofa.
I outta buy a Baldwin…screw that old tractor that I’m fixing! LOL
Now, I know where THAT can be used!
