Ballast King track-ballasting car
For my taste I think there is to much balast left on the ties, if you are runing main line equipment. For sidings and yards it looks good.
Robert, the brushes are adjustable, so you can set them to sweep a bit more ballast off the top. Also, the first rain or soaking with a hose will settle things down as well. Within two weeks, the ballast shown in the above photos had settled down to where the ties were more exposed.
