Baltimore & Ohio Museum to manage Edgar Allan Poe House

May I add, the A4’s may not look like ours, but they are historically significant to us. I went to England a few times and rode behind these machines at 90-plus mph and all you could hear was the clicking of the valve gear and no appreciable smoke. Close your eyes and foreign steam sounds like ours. I hope they do come back.

I think that is an awesome plan. I visited the museum a couple years ago and I would have loved to see the house. And the museum experience was beyond all expectations. First class all the way!!! Hats off to Baltimore and the museum!!!

I loved the museum when I visited it a few years ago and I always liked the writing of Poe. This is good for the city of Baltimore.

Hmmmmm . . . Well, that’s nice, I guess, but it does seem like an odd thing for a RR museum to be doing.

" the city’s eoard of estimates"???

Well Edgar Allan Poe and the Baltimore Ohio Railroad may not have much in common, they both are historically significant. Sounds like a win win situation. The city gets experienced curator’s to promote and manage their historic site, and the railroad museum get a nice chunk of change for their coffers.
