Darn, my record keeping is poor. My memory worse.
A few months ago I bought a couple packs of basic acetal plastic HO trucks without wheelsets. There were 4 or 6 trucks in the pack and the price was very good. Basic replacement for Athearn trucks style.
Any idea who makes such a thing? I can only find trucks with wheelsets on the net, no matter which suppliers I try.
I will have to make it down to the city and make the rounds of the hobby shops, I guess. I was hoping to order some by mail.
Thanks for any tips.
Accurail sells trucks without wheel sets - 12 pair for $14.98. Here is the link to their ‘parts’ web site:

The Accurail trucks are very nice and after reaming them out with my Micro-Mark ‘Truck Tuner’ - I-M metal wheels roll perfect in them.
I also picked up basic trucks without wheels(Tahoe Model Works) from a guy at RPM in Naperville about 2 years ago. He had ‘bags’ various side frames &.110 or .088 metal wheel sets for sale. Never saw him last year at the show.

Thanks very much, Jim. Those are just the ticket. If my LHS doesn’t have them I will order direct.
