This is a good beginner’s book for track laying. If you are new to the hobby, it’s a good place to start. It does address some of the track laying issues associated with new DCC control systems that the older texts don’t cover. All the advice is sound, but if you want to hand lay track and turnouts or heavily modify commercial turnouts, then you will need to have other sources available.
