Beginning questions on Layout for max 178cm x 67cm

hi,

i’m really a beginner coming from hong kong and want to build a scene at a place with at most 178cm x 67cm. since the size is quite small, i think N scale will be deployed as i want to have others buildings an constructions besides the train system.

  1. any similar layout i can refer to as i see the sample layouts are quite large in size?
  2. is there any software helping me draw and test the layout?

Otherwise, look for the freeware version of XTrkCad

XTrkCad is at http://www.sillub.com/. Be sure to take the time to go through the demo. Even after I did that it took a few days of using it to get proficient. But, for free, I’m not complaining. [8D]

For small layouts you might search the forum for “dioramas”.
