How is traffic on the NS and CSX mains right now with the Front Street Bridge project starting?
Also, what day of the week is it the busiest now here even with the bridge project going?

traffic should remain the same at Berea.NS and CSX will probably have assigned flagmen to watch the tracks in the construction zone.trains will have to call flagmen before coming through.as long as crews are there working the railroad will have a flagman there.
stay safe

Dose anybody know how traffic on both sets of mains were this past Saturday 5/23/09 and Sunday 5/24/09. Also I heard CSX Q090 The Produce Express came through Berea on the 24th. Is that true or not?
How was traffic through Berea on the 30th and 31st of May 2009?
Tom, I’ll bet that Q090 goes through Berea three times a week, every week.
Construction of a bridge over the tracks shouldn’t have any direct effect on the trains–perhaps, as Joe says, flagmen in the area to protect the construction workers. And perhaps a brief suspension of movement when structural members are lifted into place. Both railroads would have to be involved at Berea.
Right now, there is a track being added to the IHB bridge across our main line at Melrose Park. Not only is this the eastern throat of Proviso, but it also goes over the track with fifty-some scoots (Metra commuter trains) per weekday. Nothing’s being rerouted or curtailed.
