I’ve noticed that push-out (aka Bermuda) shutters are a popular touch on most buildings down here. I was thinking about adding some to my Aristocraft frieght depot and a few other buildings to give them a bit of southern charm, and cover up some of their shortcomings. How can I go about modeling them?
Hey that’s a great idea incorperating regional stuff into buildings etc. I lived in S. Florida in the 70’s and thought you were talking about jalousie windows. Don’t know if they’re used up there. Glad you put the link in.
Glueing two or three of the shutters together side by side may just work. I actualy got the idea from Peter Jones last column about imersing yourself in the ambiance of the prototype. Now I just need to wok on my rollingstock, which is lettered for Conrail and other Yankee roads.
