I have found some info on other sites ,but was wondering if anyone as more info about Kaylor branch in Western PA ? I know the line ran from Queen Junction to Kaylor ,but seems some articles show it ran further ? Also I understand line was closed in 1992 ( year I born ) ,but my parents talk about seeing some traffic after that year . I hope to find some good info and thanks in advance
From the Magazine Index:
Bessemer’s F-units and the Kaylor Branch in Pennsylvania
by Scott Snell
from CTC Board October 1995
Kaylor, Pennsylvania, on the Western Allegheny
from Railmodel Journal June 1989 p. 35
I’m pretty sure there were some articles and/ or photos in RailPace - http://www.railpace.com/magazine/ - but it’s not in the Index.
I was out that way a few times in the mid-1980’s (Petrolia, Bruin, up to Foxburg, Brady’s Bend, etc.) but never saw it in operation.

Thanks for the reply . All these links don’t open to any articles ? Just wondering if that is case or something I’m doing wrong .
You have to be a Registered Trains Magazine Subscriber, for the links to return anything more than the ‘gatekeeper’ screen.
I am Registered Trains Magazine Subscriber
I think – not being a ‘subscriber’ any more – that the only thing those links produce are the references to the articles, not the text of the articles themselves. (For that, you might need to buy the Complete Collection, or pester someone who owns it.) It would be nice if that it not true. It would be even nicer if Kalmbach would step up to the plate and fix the problem with the Complete Collection they sold to many of us being incompatible with modern Mac operating systems. It’s their copy protection that’s broken, regardless of how Apple might have come to make it inoperative, and it should be easily fixed through an exchange of media.
