I was wondering if any one can tell me what the best hotel in Galesburg is for seeing trains and watching them from is. Planning on going in September. Thank you very much
Can’t tell you about motels, but Knox Station Bed and Rails is a great bed-and-breakfast place along the old Santa Fe main line east of Galesburg, near Knoxville. They should have an e-mail address. The trains really move past there, and the owners are knowledgeable and accommodating.
