Hi, can anyone advise what are the best quality micro cams currently available? Something for a large G scale indoor track, with tunnels. Something color, with a good refresh rate, signal strength, and sound.

Try http://www.choochoocam.com/ , hope the link is correct. If not do a search for choochoocam. This is a photo of our club layout which uses a choochoo cam with track power and wireless transmitter, with track power it can be stationary or be attached to one of the trains for additional visitor entertainment. We use a LCD monitor to display the feed from the cam.

They cater to the R/C group. I have used their product on R/C aircraft, R/C model tanks, and R/C cars, all with good results. Small enough that it would fit into most forward looking G-scale diesel cabs and thus look quite scale. I first saw the product installed inside a R/C scale model of a Bonanza and the pilot flew the plane from the portable TV he brought to the field. It has pretty good sound and color video.
