Best Way To Glue Hand Rails on???

I have a BLI SW7 Switcher that I purchased undecorated. Now that the painting is done, I started putting in the small detial pecies. The upper or side handrails, kinda jammed into the deck for a snug fit, but the end peices, front and back, are kinda loose and wont stay.

So…

The frame is metal the handrail is a very soft plastic. I was thinking a good super glue… but anything else to use or reasons not to use the super glue? I have never had the problem of plastic to metal. And advice would be great.

Thanks[:)]

Try CA (super glue) first.

If that does not work, there is Cyanopoxy, expensive but it will work.

I would think some CA (superglue) should work fine, but I’d use the gel type instead of the runny stuff so it goes only where you want it.

Invest in some good tweezers too. I use the ones from my swiss army knife. They’re small enough to hold the handrails in place while you glue them and place them on the locomotive.

Gel eh? I like that. Thanks guys

I use Devcon 5 minute epoxy and a toothpick.

Superglue can sometimes leave a chemical residue thats like a white film.

The 5 minute epoxy never does that.
