That’s me–the layout is based on the SN’s “Belt Line” route, around the original city limits of Sacramento. The line was originally electrified but currently I am modeling it as a diesel line (as it was from 1953-1966.) The original line was roughly U-shaped, with lots of in-street running, extremely sharp curves, and characterized by mostly agricultural industries, residential neighborhoods, and lots of trees–the layout is based with these ideas in mind. I’m going to take more photos in the coming weeks when my backdrop is finished, and will be sure to post them here, and probably the Gauge as well.
Can I ask you a trackplan of your layout? I’m planning to build in the next - I hope - future a layout around a fictional New England interurban in post-wire life…
