Looks like Quebec North Shore and Labrador (QNSL) is jumping in on the ex-BHP SD70ACe sale. Saw one yesterday at Progress Rail Tacoma marked QNSL 524. QNSL currently has 22 SD70ACe on their roster with the last batch arriving in 2013.
An interresting side note is that QNSL received 10 GE AC44/Dash9 units back in 2003 but their has been no sighting of them since 2013. Wonder if the EMD units were built in London?
The 13 units returned to the USA are the oldest units.
All the units in service are newer than those, 4314 to 4492 (or so) and they all have isolated cabs.
I think they can afford four new units and they probably don’t need them until they get around 240 new cars. It isn’t as if they are short of money. They are buying back some of my shares this month.
