Has anyone tried using the CMW '67 Ford Custom or other full-size American car on an Accurail open auto rack?
Two problems. Not all cars are exactly to scale. Second, the interioor on the autoracks is narrow due to the thickness of the required structural members. Also diecast cars become real heavy as a load.
Thanks for the info. I am curious as to what other forum members have used as auto rack loads. I noticed some people mentioned on other threads they were going to use some of the Malibu models. The 1955 Chevy is too early for an auto rack, but I was thinking of either using the CMW Ford or the Model Power Olds 442. With its plastic chassis, the 442 should be lighter than the CMW Ford.
