I think if its neon I will get one

I saw a bunch of these at the Springfield show. They really are very nice. I think they are all solid-state, not real “Neon” signs. Real neon would require all kinds of high-voltage, and would be a big headache. The Citgo sign basically looks like your post. (For those of you who don’t know the great city of Boston, it’s been a landmark since the late '60’s, near Fenway Park, the home of our beloved Red Sox.)

I’m not ready for signs yet, but a few of these could really enhance a layout. They add a delightful “tackiness” to the “cruisin’ the Strip” image. I’ll probably end up with 2 or 3 once I get some buildings to put them on.

Bud, you might want to check out the Greenberg train shows in Wilmington at the Shriners’ center. It’s only a short drive up 93. I’ve seen these signs at the last couple of shows.

Signs that light up certainly add a lot of life to a layout! Ordinary buildings such as gas stations, hotels, resteraunts, and furniture stores often have impressive lighted signs. Looks beautiful on layouts, yet is seems that so many modelers with gorgeous layouts use very few of them.

With the above mentioned company though, chances are we’ll be seeing more layouts featuring lighted and/or animated signage.

Peace.

I tried one of their signs on my diner. With a flasher circuit, now on the roof of my diner (flash) diner (flash) diner. It’s cool to watch.[:)]
