Bill C --- Chestnut 226

Where in S Jersey? I’m originally from N. Wildwood, then lived many years in Rio Grande. Just moved 25 miles down Rt.9 in '93!

Capt. Bob, I’m in Cumberland County in Upper Deerfield Township near Bridgeton.

By the way, there’s an excellent garden railway shop called Secluded Acres in Rio Grande on the mainland near Wildwood.

Regards,
Bill

Right off Buckshutem Road???

Secluded Acres, Yes- I know the family. Grandfather Bill Frank was in my brother’s class at WHS! Secluded Acres Bill’s sister was in my elder son’s class at MTHS. Tommy, (whom I last heard was working at the nursery with his older brother) was in my younger son’s class, and I was the ***'t coach for his youth soccer team.

I can also remember when they first added LGB to the nursery. When I lived in Rio Grande I was in the next development to the East of them and bought many plants from them.

You’re a bit far up for a day trip when I happen over on the ferry for a trip to see friends or family, was hoping you might have been down in Cape May County.
Our Shoreline Garden Railroad Club is trying to investigate chartering a train on the old PRSL, taking the ferry trip over, doing the ride, and then doing the monthly meeting on the ferry on the way back sometime this spring; but I can’t seem to catch up to those people.

O, well, thanks for the comeback!

We do not have many Chestnuts in this country nor are allowed to have open fires, because of fear of starting bushfires; so we cannever roast tem on an open fire.
