As I said in the “Junk or Jewels” thread, we inherited a bunch of train stuff from my uncle. For a newbie to the hobby, it has been like Christmas. Included in the boxes was a Binks Set #1 Type A Wren Air Brush. We have been longing for an air brush. Is this one worth keeping/using?
It’s a ‘keeper’ - especially for the ‘price’!

I just found the instructions for the brush. It says the Type A air brush is to be used with inks and dyes, and the Type B is for paint. The one I have is a Type A. Sounds like it won’t work for airbrushing scenery. Bummer.
The ‘different’ types of Binks refers only to the spray nozzle. They have A, B & C nozzles for the body and are fully interchangeable.
Just get a ‘B’ tip and you’re good to go.

I use and prefer the “A” Tip for most Floquil and Scalecoat paints when properly thinned.
