My wife and I paired back out layout plans to a small start up shortline that serves 2 grain elevators, a fertilizer plant and provides access to a small railroad preservation society that has an operable USRA 0-8-0. With little funds to buy an engine, the line drug this old FM H12-44 from the weeds at one of the elevators, which are both owned by the group that bought the railroad. The engine was overhauled by a pvt contractor and repainted. New decals that will match the road name on the societies steamer are on order. Wapihani is Deleware Indian for Great White River, thier tribe was settled down near the White River near Indianapolis. I got both of these engines at a show recently. I am taking down my around the wall benchwork and going back to my small 33" by 55" table but I am going to use part of the old benchwork to make a shelf branch line up to one of the grain elevators and the societies round house. The small table will give me a small loop to test engines that come in to my repair shop. Two of my engines will go up for sale to help pay for other layout needs or another 0-8-0. Everybody complains on the cost of the hobby, I paid $20 for the Tenshodo steamer, just needed put back together and $60 for the Hallmark FM H12-44 in its original box. Cheers Mike
