Black and White on the former CNJ (1977)

I scanned some more of my dad’s photographs and wanted to share two from the Summer of 1977. First is the beautiful CNJ depot at Fanwood/Scotch Plains.

The second is one of CNJ’s unique GP40Ps with a Saturday train at Cranford.

Thanks for looking, and corrections are welcome.

Excellent shots as always, Charles. That certainly is a beautiful depot.

Thanks for sharing!

It’s always enjoyable to see the GP40P’s. I got pictures of them at Phillipsburg and Raritan on the old CNJ main and at South Amboy on the NY&LB when I visited the area in 1982.

I still see them everyday, they are rebuilt but plugging along. Always enjoy the shots, EL.

…And again, enjoyed your black and whites.
