Blame it on Spacemouse, I've done it, first HO purchases in over 20 years

Temptation is too hard to resist…Just reserved two Sunset SP M moguls and purchased outright a used brass SP T28 4-6-0. All three combined cost less then one quality S scale steam kit, does this mean my S scale days are numbered?

Dave

Wait til you see how much less space you’ll use.

You may want to join Space Mouse’s Trains.comaholic group. Your S gauge days may be numbered. At any rate enjoy the new engines, flanged wheels are good, regardless of scale. Steam rules!!!
Will

Slap an S scale cab on them and call it narrow gauge. No need to give up the best scale for one little slip.[;)]
Enjoy

Look what you have gone and done now, Space Mouse! [:0][:D]

Gotcha! Welcome to HO, West Coast.

Dave, it’s okay. It’s okay. When you come to your senses, I’ll take the locos off of your hands, LOL! Seriously, my friend, S-scale needs all the dedicated modelers it can get–if I weren’t so heavily invested in HO, that’s the scale I’d choose, believe me.
But that’s all right. You have fun with those Valley Mallets, and believe me, you’re not the first Bi-Scale modeler running around. I even had a Garden scale layout until a couple of years ago when I realized that I could actually SEE all the detail and it scared the stuffing out of me!
Tom
PS: About our talks on the Bachmann 4-8-2–I’ve got a lot of Precision Scale parts on order, to turn the little baby into an SP MT-2. Hopefully, they’ll arrive before I’m in a wheelchair at the Home, LOL!

Nice going Spacemouse!!!

Now I’m going to have to blame you for my next locomotive purchase!!! [;)]

Welcome back to the HO club Westcoast!!!

Gordon

Appreciate the words of encouragement. I’m still working on my Valley Malley S scale project, I’m planning to produce diecast kits from the master for my personal use .

I get so fustrated with the lack of SP steam, I would like to have at least 5 correct engines completed by the time I apply for Social Security in 20 years. I’ve got too much invested in S to abandon it completely, rather then sit back and bemoan the lack of availibilty, i’ll produce some specific SP kits if the others won’t, in the meanwhile I can put together an HO pike for when the urge to operate strikes.

Dave

[2c] on the subject: Who says it’s gotta be all or nothin’ [?] I’ve been with HO since the mid-60’s. My HO trainroom now has an O-gauge Lionel Polar Express shelf railroad in a portion of it. An adjacent storage room has an S-gauge layout under construction.
Love 'em all! [tup]

I just blew $100 today at the LHS on some detail stuff, that darn Spacemouse, wait until my girlfriend finds out, he will be in some deal and hot water… [8D]

I fail to see the connection to why I, a self-proclaimed saint, could be the cause of such travesty. On the other hand, if blaming me gets you to make progress or just have more fun, then I can take it.

But please, don’t get any more women mad at me. I can’t stand, “THE LOOK.”

Could it be that you were the first to admit your addiction? MTA (Model Trains Anonymous)

BTW my girlfriend would never buy the excuse that you caused my purchase [:)]

Though it might be worth a try…

SpaceMouse…don’t you mean “THE LQQK???”"
