Hello, I am doing my homework on selecting my first freight steam loco and was looking at the BLI Blueline series, now here’s my question:
What is the difference between the “Post 1946 version” and the “Standard version” of the PRR 4-8-2 loco?
I printed pics of both locos and I found them to be identical or maybe my eye is not yet trained to spot minute details…
Thank you.
Here’s a pretty good article that tells the differences.

Serge,
Forget the PRR. Buy one of the NYC 4-8-2 Brass-hybrid Mohawks. [:)]
Seriously, I have one of the Blueline Niagaras and it operates very nicely. (Course, I already mentioned that in your other thread.) I’m sure the PRR Mountain will be fine also.
