BLI Cab Forward Question

Since I did not get the page about the smoke unit with the engine.

I saw the blue switch under the boiler above the front boggie. I THINK that is the on-off for the smoke unit, is it?

Also the Soundtraxx booster can not program this on a Program track!

Nice unit, runs good, looks good.

That’s the smoke switch. Turn it off, it’s connected directly to the track, otherwise it will never program.

Being a litlle on the nosey side, so you don’t have to answer (you are not under aoth!LOL. Where did you purchase it & what was the approx. $? I have the 2-8-4 Mountain UP#7000 and I really like it. I’m modeling 1950’s so ti is borderline prototypical, but ,hey Its my RR. I got mine from a LHS in MemphisModell Railroad & Hobbies for $329.00 tax and all. I’ve been really wantinting th SP Cabforward though. I have a Rivarossi CF lettered for the HR & NP, but its not near the loco you have. I have several diesels with self-installed Soundtraxx decoders that are totally cool. Also, what kind of tonnage can you pull on what grade. I have a Digitrax system (Super Chief Radio) that makes MRRing very enjoyable. I want to install sound & smoke to my Cab forward, but thats still a little ways into the future.

You can get a Broadway Limited Cab Forward from some of the interent train wholesale places for around 400-450.00 I have one and love it. By far and away ,my fav engine.

Edit. trainworld has them for 409.00

I can not tell you my source but lets just say I can sell it for the $409.00 and make a good profit. (It is NOT for sale).

Just google my name and you will have your answer.
