I have a BLI Model 925 F7 A/B set with factory Dc “Stealth” Series. I ordered NEC decoders with 8 pin plug because the instructions showed board etc to remove and just plug decoder in and Nirvana. Well I’ve pulled the shells after decoders came in and no plug, just jumpers soldered in and empty holes on PC board. I’m thinking some of you guys have run into this before and wanted your advice. Thanks Bill
Bill.
Anyway you can post a picture? It could be a board replacement type instal instead of a plug in.
Pete
Sounds like the 8 pin socket was left off the PC board from a BLI diagram I have. I have the F3 & F7 sets. You should be able to see eight pin holes that are the same figure as the 8 pin NMRA socket.
Just in case you need it. There is a BLI forum with a BLI rep there.

Mind showing me how to post pictures? I’ve looked but don’t see the instructions. Bill
To up load videos, go to You Tube.
Go to Photo Bucket and get a free account. Figure out the albums there that you would like as the more photos you upload, the more confusing it can be to find the photos. I know from experience. It can become addictive. I have over one hundred photos in my account with maybe twenty different albums I selected.
Once you have the photo, there will be four options. Use the fourth one and copy it to the Trains.com forum. It is IMG code.
If not to good, modify the message until you get it right.
I have done that a few times until I figured out method that works for me.

You pull out the copper jumper pins, and then plug in the decoder. If they run backwards, put the decoder out and turn it around.

The jumpers don’t appear to be soldered. You should be able to pull them out with pliers and plug the decoder straight in. The board still has a socket soldered to it, but they simply left off the usual plastic housing. It allows a lower profile mounting for the decoder.
That solved the problem, I Installed the decoder and away it went. I’m always amazed at the useful information on this forum. I’ve never had a problem (with trains) that someone has not been able to help me with. This one was worth it just to learn how to upload photos to the forum. Thanks again Bill
Bill.
I thought that was what you were describing. A picture is worth a thousand words. I saw the same thing on the early BLI Blueline decoders. They used the pins instead of a plug. The very next batch had a plug with soldered pins like the usual jumper plug.
