I have recently purchased two BLI locomotive sets, a set of EMD E7A/B and a GG-1. I am very happy with those, so far, except for the following problem. While I can change many CV settings, I am not able to change the throttle setting (CV56.4) from the default (speed control) in either set of locos, to the desired Regulated throttle control. To my suprise, I learned from the customer service that the CV56.4 setting is not available in these models! I was hoping that this setting would help to have a more realistic behavior, especially in my GG-1.
The problem I am having is that when I turn the throttle in the forward/reverse position, GG-1 starts moving immediately before the engine sounds come on. I played with the CV3, CV4, and CV23, CV24 settings, which provide nice delayed acceleration & deceleration, but I could not get the loco moving after revving up the engine sounds (i.e., labored sounds). Somehow movement comes earlier than the sound. I do not have this problem with my EMD E7A/B set. I tried the CV2 setting but other than the default 32, the loco behaves erratically with any other setting. Is there any CV setting combinations to resolve this sound and motion synchronization problem with my GG-1?
I am running and programming the locos (via POM) using the ROCO MultiMaus.
You might try asking this question on the BLI forum since the moderator answers many of the questions. I have one of these models and it does not operate like yours.
