BLI to make a Pennsy H10?

I got an email from a dealer today with a link to the BLI website where BLI is offering interested people a single copy (per asker) of their newest product guide. Factory Direct is taking pre-orders for a Pennsy H10 2-8-0. Pennsy fans are going to be happy, and if they order, out of pocket for something like $319. A new run of the all-metal K4s is in the offing for $70 more.

Dang.

Crandell, can you clarify something for me?

Are you saying that BLI will offer a PRR K-4 for $390 and that it can be purchased without having to purchase the PRR H10 ?

Rich

I wish they’d manufacture an NYC H-10 2-8-2. That won’t happen though. [:(]

Tom

They announced a new run of the k4 and an H10 independent of each other. There is some speculation the K4 might be streamlined so treat that totaly as a rumor.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I hate the streamlined version.

Say it ain’t so.

Rich

That’d be nice, although I’ve got my eye on a couple of brass ones belonging to a friend. [:-^]

Rich, BLI are about to bring the USRA Mikes, and the Pennsy M1 4-8-2’s, I1 2-10-0’s (thrid run?), and the K4s’s over the next six months or so. I would love to bite, but my next anticipated (PULLEEEEEESSE!!) big mouthful is going to be the Union Pacific 4-12-2 coming in January. I know not to hold my breath on that one since it has been postponed at least three times already. But, in case, I have to have the moolah on hand.

Crandell

I’ll believe it when I see it. They show one on the cover with a lines west tender butt there is no news or word of it on their website. If this project goes like most other BLI projects it will be years before they hit the shelves.

Pete

In my opinion the H10 will be the most successful ever for BLI. Most serious PRRmodelers want several. I’d bet most will buy at least three and I know one person planning on ten initially. The PRR community has stepped up big time when accurate models have been produced hence multiple runs.

Wayne,

They wouldn’t be OMIs, by chance? That one is definitely on my wish list. [:P]

I was kinda hopin’ for an L1 ; I’ll probably be in a nursing home by the time that comes out.

No, they’re a pair of older ones, although I don’t recall the maker. I re-motored them some time ago for him. Were they mine, I’d strip them, update some of the details, then re-paint them. They run really well together and are excellent pullers - perfect for my hilly terrain. He’s currently out of model railroading, but not necessarily disinterested, more a case of not enough time for all of his interests.
I asked him one time in a 'phone conversation if he was interested in selling his NYC B-11 0-6-0. My thought was to re-work it into a TH&B B-2s, an almost identical loco (NYC was a part-owner of the TH&B). A couple of weeks later, it arrived in the mail. When I called to thank him, and inquire about the price, he simply said, “Use it as long as you need it.” However, he wasn’t interested in selling it or in having it re-done as a TH&B loco, even though he’s a big fan of the TH&B. He’s formerly from my hometown of Hamilton, Ontario, now living in northern B.C. I hope to take his loco back to him in person next year, after I’ve modified it to all-wheel pick-up.

WHY! Why are N Scale SPFs repeatedly taunted and abused? AAAAAHHHHH!!
