As I live in the land of Pantomimes, I am curious to see a photo from the end of the viewing area looking back towards the webcam at Rochelle. I feel sure this must have been covered in previous forum topics so perhaps someone could point me in the right direction too with a suitable link. Sorry I can’t help being nosy.
The webcam is located on top of the roof of the seating area which is several steps up from the bottom. Then the parking lot & the train shop then the street which crosses both the UPRR & BNSF tracks [:)]
Thanks for that,
Would a panoramic photo include a view of both tracks simliar to the official one, or is the angle too spread out?
Think you may need a fisheye or a very wide angle lens for that. I would estimate that at the street crossing it is 100 or more feet between the 2 RRs set of tracks. Also from the grade crossing to the rail crossing maybe no more then 200/300 feet [:)]
Oops forgot to mention if you are looking towards the west the UPRR tracks are actually on quite wide left hand turn which starts before the grade crossing & ends some distance after the rail crossing. If you look at my web site you will find Colton in the S. California galleries which IMHO give you a much better view of the action [:)]
