Take a look at these two “photos” of the Damen Ave. station on the Chicago CTA Blue Line. I’d like to see your opinion on which you like more.

If you’ve ever ridden the train from O’Hare Airport to downtown, you would have stopped at this station.
Without any doubt-No.2 It took afew moments for my brain to realize I was looking at a painting and not a photograph. All it needs is an Electroliner.
Never an Electroliner or CA&E at this stop (this was originally the Met L Logan Square line) but 4000-series (Rapid Transit) or 6000-series (PCC) cars would still look good here.
Notice how much time he claims to have spent “painting” it (in Photoshop)? That’s staggering.
The Electroliners, as you probably know, ran from Howard to the Loop. As a kid I rode the El every day and was used to seeing them. With their futuristic design of speed, they really looked out of place because of the twisty El tracks, which would force them to crawl along. Also their exteriors were an extreme contrast with the standard North Shore cars. Like streamlined compared to heavyweight Pullman cars. However, when we were in the northern suburbs occasionally I would see one in its home territory. At that point they would be really flying.
