Is anyone using the Blue Point Turnout Control with fascia board throws? Successes? Problems? Advice?
The cost os SO CLOSE to Torotise after you add the electrical pieces for frogs and such. The only problem I saw was it is s BIG as a tortoise and could be built from model airplane parts cheaper. If you are multi-level you have another problem with it’s depth.
I buy about one of everything to test to see If what I am using is still the most logical.
Just my $.02
There was a discussion of these in another thread, maybe over on the layout section. My bottom line, if they were half the price I’d consider tham. At the price they charge, a Tortoise from a good dealer isn’t much more. If I was dead seton manual controls, I’d just buy slide switches and make my own, there’s been any number of articles in the model press on how to do this, and each one would cost you maybe a couple of bucks tops for the switch and some wire and tube.
