Who painted the the car??? job well done , some time i hope to learn to post , but one thing at a time , Ben[:)]
Hi Ben,
The artwork was done by a friend of ours. Originally it was a CN reefer in grey. She painted the entire car for me with four different scenes. Two on one side and two on the other. The pic is not that clear but the entire car sparkles in the sunlight. BEAUTIFUL work. It is great having artist friends!!! I had no idea what she was going to do. I told her I wanted it to reflect Christmas in a simple way, reminiscent of days gone by. She got it bang on. [tup] Merry Christmas everyone!!! Later eh…Brian. [:D]
wonderful work hit it on the mark of time gone by.makes me wish for some old time values now all i see is pavement after a snow instead of scenes as pictured. thanks john
Well done Brian but surely you could put ina tropical scene for your mates in Australia, after all we did have a cold Xmas day (for us) this year only 31 degrees, it was 36 last year. So the snow bit is not all that applicable to us, with our jaundiced and upside down view of the world
Well Done , Ian
[#welcome] Hi there John,
Glad to see a new ID on the forum! Those old time scenes still hold a big place in my heart. Enjoy the forum! Great bunch here. Later eh…Brian. [:D]
Hi Ian,
This is the first piece of rolling stock for my Christmas Train. Each year will see an addition. A tropical scene??? Why Not! Just need a couple of G Scale Roos for a flat car scene and away we go. Rgds eh…Brian.
Yeah mate your swinging now and you could have ebry one upside down 9only joking).
You know the Poms reckon we walk around on our hands.
Rgds Your mate Ian
Brian, that car is really neat. Very classy and definately right for your part of the world (lots of snow!) I admire folks who have that kind of artistic talent.
Hey Brian,
Great reefer, can’t wait to see next years work. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas

LET SEE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAR. Ben
Cool car!
Perhaps you need to have her paint the Australian scene upside down?
Ben,
I will email the pics to you. Carpenter Matt posted the pic for me. [:D] Thanks for the comments everyone. I picked up a bunch of Rudolph characters at Cosco so that will be next years’ flat car(s) scene! Later eh…Brian.
